The United States has issued import bans on some Canadian-made goods.

The United States has issued import bans on some Canadian-made goods, such as certain Canadian alcohol products, dairy products, and motorcycles, in response to Canada’s counter-tariffs implemented on September 9, 2026. The now-banned goods were previously subject to a 50% tariff under the US Section 338 tariff.
Additional Canadian goods, such as mattresses and some paper products, have been added to the list of goods facing a 50% retaliatory tariff under Section 338.
