Regulated Goods and Government Agency Requirements
Some shipments need more than standard customs clearance. Regulated goods may require additional review, permits, certificates, product details, or documentation from participating government agencies.
Argo has experience with regulated goods and Canadian government agency requirements, including the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Natural Resources Canada, Transport Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada, and Health Canada.
For Calgary importers, regulated goods may include food and agricultural goods, vehicles and transportation-related products, energy-related products, environmental goods, health-related imports, and industrial or commercial equipment.
When Extra Review May Be Required
Additional review may apply when imported goods are controlled, restricted, technically regulated, or require agency-specific information before release.

A customs broker cannot promise instant approval or release. Complete documentation can reduce avoidable questions. Product descriptions should explain what the goods are, what they are made of, how they are used, and whether model numbers or technical details apply.
