Customs Support Across Domestic and International Trade Routes

Customs Support Across Domestic and International Trade Routes

Vancouver importers may receive goods through ocean freight, air cargo, highway transportation, rail connections or courier networks. A shipment may also move through several Canadian locations after customs release before reaching its final destination.

Multi-Modal Shipment Support

Argo supports the customs requirements connected to ocean, air, highway, rail and courier movements, including shipment documentation, tariff classification, CBSA release information and regulated goods.

Coordination With Carriers and Freight Forwarders

Where customs information needs to be exchanged, Argo can coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders and other shipment parties involved in the movement of the goods.

Government Agency Requirements

For international shipments, requirements can vary by product and destination. Goods involving vehicles, transportation equipment or other regulated products may require information connected to Transport Canada or another participating government agency.

Customs Brokerage and Transportation Are Different Roles

Argo’s role is focused on Canadian customs brokerage and compliance. Freight transportation, routing and physical logistics may be handled by a carrier or freight forwarder, while Argo manages the customs work assigned to the broker.
