ARGO Customs Brokers Toronto: As the entity responsible for issuing cargo control numbers (CCNs) to clients, it is important to ensure you are not issuing duplicate CCNs. When a duplicate CCN is issued, this causes the customs broker to receive a reject message on their release transaction and costs all groups time and money to rectify.
In the instances that your customs broker informs you that your CCN is rejected as it is a duplicate or is already in history, it is your responsibility to verify your system and retrieve this information. In order for the broker to correct the reject, a new CCN is required.
